{"id":1429,"date":"2016-03-06T12:52:16","date_gmt":"2016-03-06T17:52:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kathleenferrari.com\/?page_id=1429"},"modified":"2016-03-06T12:52:16","modified_gmt":"2016-03-06T17:52:16","slug":"the-muse","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.kathleenferrari.com\/?page_id=1429","title":{"rendered":"The Muse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Muse: a woman, or a force personified as a woman, who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Going by this definition, Arleigh, my <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tibetan_Terrier\" target=\"_blank\">Tibetan Terrier<\/a> is definitely my muse.<\/p>\n<p>I had no intention of getting a dog. &#8220;No more dogs,&#8221; I declared my heart broken over the recent death of my last dog, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kathleenferrari.com\/?p=1210\">Grace.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And then the stars aligned such that I discovered the Tibetan Terrier, a breed unknown to me, a breeder, <a href=\"http:\/\/gaminetibetanterriers.com\" target=\"_blank\">Gamine Tibetan Terriers<\/a> and finally after one false start (We thought we were getting a male puppy, which is why she has a man&#8217;s name) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kathleenferrari.com\/?p=1441\" target=\"_blank\">Arleigh Burke. <\/a>\u00a0Of course, fate ensured our dog would be a female because a muse is always female.<\/p>\n<p>Smart, beguiling, stubborn and ever persuasive, Arleigh keeps a close eye on this writer.
